Back in the work shop, chasing steel in the river.

This is a landing net for those who fish small streams and prefer a net with a smaller hoop and net bag. This would also be a nice net for Tenkara style fishing.
The curved handle 7 inch made of birds eye maple joined with a dark piece of Texas ebony. The 10 x 6.5 inch hoop is figured maple and elm.
These woods are from about as far north and south as you can go in the United States. The Texas ebony is an urban harvest wood that was wrangled from the junk heaps and burn piles in south Texas. I was lucky to find an individual who was an urban logger and stocked up a small supply. (The needed quantity for a life time supply keeps getting smaller).
From the Upper Peninsula of Michigan comes the birds eye maple. I am always looking for those occasional boards that have the dense eyes and creamy color.
This style can be custom ordered in a variety of woods. The net has a deep epoxy finish. All of my fly fishing nets are signed and numbered. All nets have a custom, in shop made, brass eye for attaching the net to your vest or belt.
Available as special order there is a $100 refundable deposit, I will email you for confirmation of details.
