Did you ever cut out a section of wood, in middle of a board because the color was so special. I will confess it wasn't a big board and the rest was pretty bad. But the color in a limited section was really special. This net is really a study in color. The box elder had an interesting pattern of color and reminded me flowing fabric. Okay, no one else can see this, but the wood is pretty. I combined the box elder's creams and red with a deep red of mahogany. (The mahogany is a whole other story, just buy me a beer.) The slight curve of the handle is to give a sense of movement.
The landing net measures about 22.5 inches overall with a 10 inch handle and a 11 x 12.5 inch eastern style hoop. Hand made in the USA. The net has a deep epoxy finish. All of my fly fishing nets are signed and numbered. All nets have a custom in shop made brass eye for attaching the net to your vest or belt.
