This an elegant and functional traditionally sized landing net made with striking woods. 21.5 inches overall, 8 inch handle and a 13 x 9 inch hoop.
A number of years ago my wife and I traveled down the Oregon coast. There were multiple small lumber mills selling cut offs of Big Leaf maple burl. My wood gathering disorder kicked in big time. I selected multiple pieces looking for the best figure possible. There was almost enough room in the car for my wife on the way back home to Michigan.
This style of landing net may be custom ordered with a slightly larger hoop fitting style a ghost net bag. My nets are all signed and numbered. All nets have a custom shop made brass eye for attaching the net to your vest or belt. All my nets feature a multi-coat epoxy finish to enhance and protect.
