This style was inspired by a trip I made to South Africa. The animals and the land had colors of warm browns and tans in the dry season. This net captures that feeling with the Zebrawood and Texas Ebony in the handle and hoop. The blocks of Black Palm represent the patterns seen in the animals and are used to form the center of the handle.
The handle is about 9 inches with a hoop measuring 14 inches by 8. The hoop is a combination of Zebra wood and Texas Ebony. The net is finished with a deep epoxy finish. All my nets are signed and numbered. The slight elongation of the net hoop lets the rubber net cradle the fish and creates less bounce.
