Grand Rapids was a major furniture building city in the 1800's and early 1900's. For many years the estate sales, of the craftsmen who had worked in those factories, would have their carving tools and the discarded wood they took home. The pieces of wood were never large or perfect, but always seemed to have exceptional color or grain.
This net has remnants of that time, with an 8 inch deep red mahogany handle and a 13 x 10 inch, 36 inch circumference, hoop of Cherry and Mahogany.
This style of landing net may be custom ordered in various woods and a slightly larger hoop with a ghost net bag. My nets are all signed and numbered. All nets have a custom shop made brass eye for attaching the net to your vest or belt.
Available as special order there is a $100 refundable deposit, with a 4-6 month wait time. I will email you for confirmation of details.
