This Tenkara style landing net started with an unusual piece of Texas Ebony. It was too thick, too short and too interesting to just cut up. I liked the curve of the Tenkara nets I had seen, so I stated asking, how. How can I do this? How can I not kill myself as I do this? How long will it take? (You will note, I never asked why.)
The result, was this net, about 24 inches long, with a 14 inch hand carved handle, layered bamboo yoke and a 9 x 9 inch bamboo hoop, 33 inch circumference.
This style can be custom ordered in a variety of woods or slightly larger frame. Ghost style net bags are not available for these small nets. Hand made in the USA. The net has a deep epoxy finish. All of my fly fishing nets are signed and numbered. All nets have a custom, in shop made, brass eye for attaching the net to your vest or belt.
There is a $150 surcharge for Texas ebony because of the limited supply.
