A traditionally sized landing net for trout fishing. Shown in a unique combination of woods, with a soft nylon catch and release bag. The slightly rounder 9.5 x 11.5 inch, 34 inch circumference hoop of this landing net is a very functional size for trout fishing, the 8.5 inch handle gives it a very balanced look.
These woods are from about as far north and south as you can go in the United States. The Texas ebony is an urban harvest wood that was wrangled from the junk heaps and burn piles in south Texas. I was lucky to find a recycler and stocked up a small supply. (The needed quantity for a life time supply keeps getting smaller).
From the Upper Peninsula of Michigan comes the birds eye maple. I am always looking for those occasional boards that have the dense eyes and creamy color. The handle has a Texas ebony cap to frame the light birds eye maple.
This style can be custom ordered with slightly larger frame fitting a ghost style bag at similar pricing. Hand made in the USA. The net has a deep epoxy finish. All of my fly fishing nets are signed and numbered. All nets have a custom in shop made brass eye for attaching the net to your vest or belt.
